Success and failure are a choice - getting ok with failure

There's a moment where you make a leap from idea into action. It's irreversible - the gravity pulls you on and there's no going back.

It's a moment of terror the first few times - particularly when you build up an audience of onlookers, but you end up getting used to it...

That's what we did this Monday with our next 5 Streets Crowdfunder.

50 streets responded to our call to turn into Power Stations - but ideas need to be backed with finances to become real.

We weren't 100% ready to go, but we launched anyway.

Because here's what we think; success and failure are a choice.

The thing we both love about filmmaking and storytelling is that there's an inbuilt philosophical argument. It's there in all stories, through the thousands of years and among myriad characters.

Character gets revealed through action and through the choices a person makes when they meet obstacles and find themselves under stress.

Do they give in, or do they up the ante?

Success and failure are the choices about how far will you go...

So we had a slow week - so what.

The thing we're doing calls us on, and so we will fight for it.

Against a political backdrop of absolute insanity, we believe in the clarity of Power Station to cut through again,

I've just posted a new 1 min clip on our crowdfunder page- you have to understand failure is something you have to get comfortable with if you take action in anything. If you move towards what you want.

And we'd rather fail than not try. Particularly at this time in. my life, and at this time on this planet.

We may not be up on our roof this time, but the power of communities coming together to sing from their hearts and to believe in the human capacity to overcome terrible things, and to work together to demand the end of the fossil era - these things will help us to achieve our goals and keep working.
