Our campaign for the christmas no 1 just got off to an unlikely start... - clips from the chaos!

Every Station Power Station

5.52am I switch on my phone and am immediately confronted with an article that says the Swiss glaciers have lost 10% of their ice in the last 2 years!

With that in mind - it doesn't matter much that I can't sleep at the moment. There's so little time.

I got an email from Jess, the music producer we often collaborate with in Texas, she'd worked relentlessly on producing a backing track so we could start recording with singers up and down the country on our attempt for the no. 1 spot this Christmas...

Let's just say the start was bumpy.. but I'd way prefer a bumpy start than a plan that stays in a shoebox under the bed...

I've rough cut a very tiny bit of the chaos onto our crowdfunder page - it was a lot of fun - and I think it has a wonderfully funny quality while also being poignant...

Just Build Power Station

Just in case you didn't watch yesterday, there's also an explainer of our song you can see by clicking the crowdfunding link below.

Our fundraising is really picking up. Millions of thanks to you all - we are hugely grateful to you for reading the emails, backing us, supporting the work.

And this work takes soooo much time! And so many people. And all the money we have raised previously in crowdfunders is for capital items - mainly solar panels.

And as we scale this up - we have to acknowledge this project is a micro-cosmic drop in the ocean compared with the investment necessary to transform our fossil infrastructure, and our fossil imaginations.

Click below to view the very short film of our music driven Christmas campaign.. I've just edited. It's rough and thrown together, it lacks polish, and clearly it's very rough and ready, but it's as fresh as early morning Paris baguettes...
