This is work led by artists, built with community and part of a network of committed change makers nationally.
This is a ‘show and do’ project sharing the trials and tenacity of making change happen - together.
We have taken to the rooftops to raise £100,000 for phase 1 solar of the street POWER STATION.
We made a bid for Christmas No1 singing ‘You’re the Voice’ with the local primary school to raise £50,000 to turn the school into a POWER STATION with Solar for Schools and organised for 5 more local schools to go solar.
We sang together again the song Bread and Roses whilst raising funds for our ’Every Street A Power Station’ plans creating the tools, invitation and connections for street and neighbourhood led transition with a network of local and national partners.
We share everything as we go nationally and beyond with an online membership community - hosting ‘power hours’, workshops, film screenings and film updates from action on the street. We are now going into the edit of the POWER STATION feature documentary film to share and inspire action far and wide in 2024 and beyond.
MEANWHILE….
Can a relic of a debt and carbon powered economy fuel this renewable future? Can we sell Big Bang 2 - the exploded ‘debt in transit’ van and finale of multi faceted project Bank Job and use the proceeds to achieve the above and more? - building infrastructures of streets and imaginations.
Big Bang 2 was part of ‘Defaced: Money, Conflict, Protest’ at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge on display until 8 Jan 2023 and now ready and waiting for a new outing.
